Surface Preparation
New woods: ensure these are free from barks. Soak in Solignum Colourless for at least 10 minutes. Longer soaking is however recommended for best preventive results. Whether the wood has been pre-treated, is new or already constructed, proceed with any required cutting, planing and piercing before treating with Solignum Colourless. Aged wood should be scrubbed and sanded first to ensure it is sound. Wood still bearing old finishing such as paint and waxed must be stripped clean. Dust carefully and make sure the wood is clean and free from any contaminant that could prevent proper penetration of the treatment product. Note: Solignum Colourless will not cure corrupt wood.

Application Method
Special care: Make sure to wear gloves and protective clothing as well as safety glasses to apply Solignum Colourless. It can be cleaned with Test Benzin. Solignum Colourless is a ready-to-use product. However it must be well mixed before applying. Use a brush to apply and depending on the state of the wood, apply 2-3 coats. Touch-dry: 48h. Recommendation: To ensure efficiency of product, do not cover with any finishing coating.
